This helps narrow down exaclty how im going to piece together my magazine. This was i survey i sent out and these were the results i got:

Background(general) research

My target audience would be people interested in sports obviously and sport enthusiasts but also im hoping it would attract the youth so they would be able to develop their passions. While im doing this ,it seems like a great idea while the world cup is ongoing,it adds a bit of flavour to this whole journey of creating this magazine. Media coverage has improved the quality of sports, increased revenue for sports, increased visibility of sports, popularity, and also increased participation in sports.

First draft

I was able to create this from using canva but also an iphone camera to capture a few pictures to add to the contents page.Most of the other photos were taken on a Canon camera and the quality seems to be better .I'm still unsure about the 'haraka michezo' title meaning fast/quick sports in swahili but it can work for now until i think of something better. With this sample, I'm trying to envision what look I want to accomplish and what elements do I need to add into my final draft to bring out the colours in the magazine.Also through the minimalistic approach how can I make it stand out from the usual expectations when it comes to a sports magazine. The main model is one of my friends (Brandon),he has a passion for his racing and it was great to capture the moment and incorporate it into the magazine as well.
