Equipment:

This was the equipment I used to making the short film.I was able to learn how to use them for just trying and using tutorials to understand what to do and with the help of a friend who was already familiar with videography.I used the gimbal and tripod to gain more stability in shots compared to it being handheld as stagnent shots have a better flow in sequence and i didn't want shaking shots to distract my audience. The shots were shot at a 4K Resolution that way they are of the best quality which makes the shots appear more aesthetic and appealing to the eye.Even with the use of the 35mm lens I chose to use it because it's great to pick up a wide variety of subjects and captured a wide angle (making it work even indoors-my beginning shots).

Typography

From pinterest I was able to gather some research into the common type of fonts and colours used in drama short film content.The use of orange-yellow colors for the title was almost visible in most of the short films because it can easily stand out.When I was looking at some pulp-fiction headlines, it also helped me generate the idea to use certain colours and fonts. pinterest link: https://pin.it/3lsnVfeiT https://fontsinuse.com/uses/25604/pulp-fiction-1994-titles

(Yellow, in particular, is associated with feelings of optimism, warmth, and attention-grabbing energy. It's a color that commands attention and radiates positivity, making it a natural choice to highlight movie titles and catch the eye of potential viewers).Hence why I chose to use it as my title in my short film and postcard.

Postcard Creation

This will be to help market the release of my short film and have a higher engagement between my audience and the content I put out. FINAL POSTCARD:

EDITING PROCESS:

(using grids to ensure there's symmetry). Downloaded the same font as my short film off dafonts.com as it was available on Photoshop.

Editing

For editing my short film I used davinci resolve 18 as it had a good structure and layout that made it easier for me to play around with more edits to create my final products.

Music and Sound Effects

Finding music for the short film was definately one of the hardest parts of the editing process as it has to work prefectly with the action at that specific point in time otherwsie it throws the whole film off. market research

I submitted my short film to these international film festival that way I can attend to a broader audience and more people will become fond of my work..I would submit in the big festivals like in France(Cannes) as that where they are known for short films but also it offers a higher chances of success for my short film.
