Final decision

After i had sent out the survey to my classmates and friends ,it turned out majority would want to see a sports magazine so that's what im going to go for. Im also going to try incorporate some aspects of youth & art into it .

Its taken a while to find a direct path to follow in terms of what i've wanted to make my magazine about.But through the help of my class teacher and a few of my peers i'm sticking to a magazine based on sports with some sort of artisitic design which can draw inspiration to others to try out.

International Research

Internationally a sports magazine that dominates in the market is the Sports Illustrated. Sports Illustrated will now have 17 print issues per calendar year—12 monthly magazines, four special editions and the swimsuit edition. Sports Illustrated revenue is $80.0M annually covering an audience of over 3 million subscribers and is read by 23 million adults each week.($8.99 a copy equivalent to 1,329 kshs/-)

Sports Illustrated Digital Advertising Opportunities- Sports Illustrated has its footprint on multiple channels, from website and social media to video platforms and podcasts. This gives the brand more avenues to connect with its readers and offer more advertising opportunities to its partners.

Local Research

SPORTS MONTHLY MAGAZINE (Local research) It was established in May 2000. The magazine is today the only surviving sports magazine in the country having stood the test of time over the years. This is a surpise yet many Kenyans like to follow their sports including our Harambee Stars(football team),so this could be used to my advantage as there's a gap in the kenyan market.

In my free time,my media teacher had assigned my class to try making our own magazine cover,here were the photos i took.. the camera was set up on 2 chairs and a few textbooks,with a timer of 10 seconds but that didnt capture the angle i was looking for,so my dad helped show me how to take the photo at a better angle.
